Squid Vs. Squid (ANIMATED!)

Of course the stove clock says it’s 2:14 PM, not AM, pffffft.

Today’s story is ANIMATED!  Whoo hoo!  Thanks again to my roommate Sarah, this time for supporting the squids during shooting and for and letting me borrow her computer, since I don’t have Adobe Flash on my laptop (I need to get that somehow…).  Unfortunately, it was at the risk of being low-quality, since it’s a .gif, and WordPress can’t support a higher-quality format that I have in mind.  Which is better: higher-quality photos or lower-quality animations?  YOU DECIDE.  Post your opinion below.

Fun Tidbit:  As the ice cream cone soars over the stove, a small foil-covered baking pan comes into view.  That’s a baking rack taken from the toaster oven, and I use it to bake my clay doodads on (in the big oven, that is, not the toaster oven).

This week, I’ve finished several commissions, and I’ve still got almost 10 to go!  Here are some pictures:

The stars of the show! Using commissions in my stories is what I call multi-tasking.

The lucky penguin, another commission.
A double-keychain of a coffee mug and slightly-larger-than-life coffee bean.

I also have the cherry pie cell phone charm from my first post up for sale, along with these three desserts that are ready to be turned into a cell phone charm or keychain…

Delectables.

I’m thinking of doing an early post next week for Valentine’s Day.  However, I also have two tests next week.  We’ll see!

EDIT: I have no idea why my pictures are making weird large grey boxes across the screen, sorry.  😦

  1. These are really cute!
Well, I like the animated version, but sometimes it’s kind of hard to know when the .gif starts and when it ends? I also like just the pictures because you get to see detail, but it takes up a lot of the blog space.

  2. Ahh, good call, Maria. I thought having the last image linger longer would be okay, but I’ll make sure to insert a “The End” next time! Maybe I should pull out from the class blog and just link to my own blog?

  3. I can’t believe you made that animated squid video on your own. You’ve got some serious talent. I really enjoyed your post… made me laugh. Good Job.
